It’s one of those afternoons again…
… when you fancy something but cant quite decide what it is.
You see, with our deserts there’s always option to quickly “mash it up” and make it your own.
It could be a simple dollop of ice-cream or warm custard. Make it a sundae! Warm it up in a microwave and add raspberry coulis for that refreshing kick. Or pour some rich, warm chocolate sauce over the top. Look below for our two favourite recipes.
Raspberry Coulis
Ingredients:
450 Raspberries
1/2 small lemon, juiced
3 tbsp icing sugar
Method:
STEP 1
Put all the ingredients in a small food processor or use a stick blender to blitz until very smooth.
STEP 2
Set a sieve over a jug. Tip the mixture into the sieve and push through the liquid using a spatula. Discard the seeds. The coulis is ready to use. Will keep refrigerated in an airtight jar for up to two days.
Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients:
200g plain chocolate
15g butter
50ml drinking chocolate
1 tablespoon Amaretto liqueur
Method:
Melt 200g chocolate, butter and drinking chocolate in a pan.
Stir in the Amaretto liqueur.
